Manufacturer Description

Sigtronics originated the voice turned on intercom market in 1974 and continues to deliver value and performance today in the 4 or 6 place FAA TSO authorized SPA-400/ 600 intercom series. With fail safe functions that allow pilots to constantly hear the radio even if the intercom is off, and radio priority that guarantees ATC only hears the crew member sending, the MEDICAL SPA intercom series is the requirement by which all others are judged. General aviation headset microphones draw power from the intercom or radio mic line. Some inadequately developed intercom systems hook all the headsets to one mic line so that all the headsets have to share the very same power. The only way to repair this is to customize or replace the intercom system with one that utilizes different mic input lines.
