Top 3 FPV Goggles Review For VR Racing

Top fpv goggles for vr racing

UPDATED :

Anyone who has been flying quads FPV has a trusty set of goggles. They are probably the most expensive item in the build budget Now with the advent of VR a new generation of headgear is hitting the market. They're much bigger, certainly look strange, and are supposed to give you a much more immersive experience. But is this worth looking like a robot? Andy Willmott tries each of them on for size.

1. QUANUM DIY FPV V2 REVIEW

By far the cheapest option on the lineup, even after adding a video receiver, this guy is going to get you FPV-ing on a tiny budget

The neoprene sock that holds the body to your head fits nicely and has ample pocket space to hold your receiver bits.

The contact points where the body meets your face aren't super comfy, but with some modifications and additional padding you can sort that out.

After all it is DIY! The screen looks good; the colours didn't seem super accurate, but colours aren't going to help you win the race. Field of view is great compared to older style goggles.

2. FAT SHARK PREDATOR V2 CE REVIEW

Being so light, these goggles are comfy on your head and super portable. They come in a case not much bigger than the one for your sunnies.

When compared to the new style head gear it feels like you are further away from the action. With a Field of View half of that of new style units and much smaller screens, it's definitely less of an immersive experience.

With a price tag quite this high, the only reason I would suggest going for these is if portability or having a small size head set is what you're looking for.

3. HEADPLAY HD REVIEW

The large high-resolution screen, enormous Field of View and super comfy fit, makes these the most immersive FPV experience there is.

The screen simply looks great, colour and detail are beautiful and everything you need is built in, super well finished, nice and neat. The receiver is integrated into the unit with buttons on the side.

The Field of View is better than Quanum's, and with the comfy fit. you will really feel like you are flying. Must be experienced.

They do come in at the pricier end of the scale, but if you have budget and don't mind looking a bit odd these are awesome.
