Manufacturer Description

On September 27, 2008, about 2358 eastern daylight time, an Aerospatiale Helicopter (Eurocopter) operated by the Maryland State Cops (Msp) encountered instrument meteorological conditions was diverted to Andrews Air Force Base (Adw), Camp Springs, Maryland. About 3.2 miles north of the runway 19R threshold at Adw, throughout an instrument landing system method, the helicopter impacted surface and crashed. The pilot, one air travel paramedic, one field supplier, and one of 2 automobile accident clients being delivered were killed. The helicopter was considerably damaged when it hit trees and surface in Walker Mill Regional Park, Area Heights, Maryland. The National Transportation Security Board determined that the possible reason for this accident was the pilot's absence of experience and lacking support of supporting organizations.
