The Russian Victor Hribkov was the original designer of the Kumertau Rotorfly, with Kumertau being the name of the aero club he joined as a delta flyer before he became more interested in helicopters.

The development process took place in the first half of the 2000s, and the goal was to produce an ultra light, kit built helicopter – the Rotorfly RI 30 Eaglet Helicopter.

The RI 30 Eaglet “Dual Rotor” Helicopter : The patent pending dual-rotor-system provides maneuverability and performance, together with the best efficiency on the market. Powered by a Rotax 914 turbo power mounted in a similar position to commercial helicopters is a novel idea. Great looking with superb performance.

Rotorfly RI 30 Eaglet Helicopter Design and Development

The machine was presented to the public for the first time at the Moscow Air Show in 2005. Unfortunately, selling the helicopter proved to be difficult because it had to be built by the buyer. It was for this reason that a deal was made with Kamov (2008), which now builds the Rotorfly on a custom order basis only and delivers it as ready-to-fly.
